A Lesson about Science

At the beginning of my first general chemistry course at Texas A&M, my teacher assistant for lab began showing us the rules for rounding with significant figures. This being a concept ingrained in my head since high school, I imagined that the lecture would serve as a nice refresher. On the contrary, I began to realize that my technique, which had gotten me through high school, was very different from the one we were supposed to use. Hesitant to change, I decided to prove that my technique and my TA's were equivalently useful. In the video below, I outline the results of my efforts.
